My First Race

I’ve decided that my first race is going to be the Flying Feather Four Miler on Thanksgiving day. Four miles is a bit more than 5 kilometers, but close enough. My plan is to jog or run the whole thing, but to take a nice and easy pace. The obvious advantage is that I’ll start the day burning about 400 calories so I can eat that much more delicious pumpkin pie later on. Race registration even includes a free bottle of wine so I can stay hydrated! This is my kind of race.
Anyone who will be in the Columbus area on Thanksgiving Day ought to consider signing up. The two charities that will benefit are decent ones, and the course looks to be nice.
