Happy New Year

With the end of 2007, I would like to wish the world a happy new year. I contemplated a good end of the year rant, as I have been known to produce in the past, but in the end I decided to go with the positive spin. Yes, there is a great deal to rant about, but today I’m just hopeful. I hope that the new year brings peace in Iraq and Afghanistan. I hope the new year sees the election of a new U.S. president peacefully and decisively. I hope 2008 will be a year of good things. I hope we see our country less divided in 2008. I hope that we all end up just a little better off at the end of 2008 than we are right now. I hope, I suppose, for a happy new year.
