Happy Autumnal Equinox!

At 5:51 am EDT today the Autumnal Equinox occurred, otherwise known as the beginning of Autumn. As the first day of Fall this is always a significant day for me. It marks the official onset of cooler weather (although not so much this year, thank you global warming), the change of the leaves, college football (Go Bucks!), sweaters, and blue jeans. I love Fall. It means that sometime, hopefully soon, we’ll get a good hard frost and my infernal seasonal allergies will end. Autumn means the quality of the daylight will take on that glorious golden hue so perfect for photographs and long walks. It means putting on socks to keep your feet warm as you patter around the house on a Sunday morning. It means all this and more. I hope you enjoy your Autumnal Equinox Day too.
